We are often asked, what is rucking? Simply put, rucking is walking with a weighted rucksack (aka backpack). It implies action, energy, and purpose. Rucking requires strength, endurance, and character — and builds them, too.

Weekly Meetups

We meet twice a week plus scheduled challenges. Just throw on some weight and come out.

Pre-planned Routes

All routes are planned prior to arrival. So when you arrive, you don’t have to think about a thing.

Post-Ruck Fun

We typically stick around after each ruck for beer, food trucks, or good conversation.

Star Course Training

In preparation for the October Star Course, we will offer members the opportunity to train and ramp up for their first star course on the second Saturday of each month at 7:00am. Location each month will be announced
January 8th – 8 miles

February 12th – 9 miles

March 12th – 10 miles

April 9th – 11 miles

May 7th – 12 miles

June 11th – 13 miles

July 9th – 14 miles

August 15th – 15 miles

September 10th – 16 miles

Weekly Meetups

Shelby Farms Park @ 6:00pm

We meet in the P2 Parking Lot near the FedEx Event Center. We complete 3 miles around the lake. Enjoy one of the finest parks in Memphis and the Country.

Pace: 13-to-15-minute miles

Weight Recommendations/Additions: Weighted Ruck recommended. We will add additional group weight to the mix including sandbags, water buckets, etc

Meddlesome Brewing @ 2:00 and/or 3:00pm

We meet behind the building on the patio. 3 miles through the Dog Park before meeting back at Meddlesome for some of the finest beers in Memphis.

Pace: 2:00pm – We will focus on an inclusive, nothing to prove pace. This will be between 18 and 20-minute pace on stroller friendly terrain.

Pace: 3:00pm – The heavy charger group will push the pace through the Shelby Farms dog park. This route will include terrain and elevation changes and will aim for 13-to-15-minute pace
